- Read every day! Visit the Public Library to check out some new books. Re-read your favourite books.

- Write letters to your family, friends or your new teacher. Continue to sound out each word.
- Play board games that use dice. Play the game with 2 dice to make it more challenging.
- Play word bingo in the car. Write down all the words you see. Try and find a word no one else has found
- Continue counting and making sets with things you find around your house. How many forks and spoons do you have?
- Get ready to attend school for a full day. Practice eating a small snack in the morning followed by lunch.
- Play! Go to exciting places like Butterfield Acres, the Calgary Zoo, the Science Centre, Calaway Park and even the school playground.
